California Proposition 65

This statement describes SUPERIOR PLASTICS COMPANY, LLC’s position under California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (“Proposition 65”).

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide a clear and reasonable warning before knowingly exposing California consumers to chemicals the State has listed as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The warning requirement applies to significant exposures above established “safe-harbor” levels.

Our compliance position

Our products are made from pure food-grade silicone and Eastman Tritan™/food-grade PP. Based on testing and Declarations of Compliance from our manufacturers, our products are not known to expose consumers to listed chemicals above Proposition 65 safe-harbor levels, and therefore do not require a Proposition 65 warning.

In particular, our products are free of bisphenol A (BPA), bisphenol S (BPS) and phthalates, and batch samples are tested for heavy metals such as lead and cadmium and verified below applicable limits.

If this position changes

Should testing for a specific product ever indicate a potential exposure above safe-harbor levels, we will display a compliant warning at the point of sale (on the relevant product page) in the form required by law, naming the specific chemical involved.
